Best 80% LTV crypto loans
Loan-to-value (LTV) is the single most important risk dial on a crypto loan: it is the size of your loan as a percentage of your collateral's value. A 80% LTV loan means borrowing $80 for every $100 of collateral you post. 6 platforms in our index let you borrow at 80% LTV or below, with rates starting at 2.70% APR.

Why borrow at 80% LTV?
An 80% loan-to-value ratio is the aggressive end of the spectrum, offered by the major DeFi money markets and the highest-LTV CeFi platforms. You extract the most liquidity per coin, but you also sit closest to the liquidation threshold — even a routine move against you can be enough to trigger it. This tier makes sense only for stable or blue-chip collateral, for short-dated needs, or for experienced borrowers who manage the position closely.
Your liquidation buffer at 80% LTV
Here is what a 80% LTV loan looks like in practice. Post $10,000 of collateral and you can borrow up to $8,000. Your collateral would have to fall by roughly 20% — to $8,000 — before your debt equalled its value. In reality, platforms liquidate before that point, at their liquidation threshold, so the usable buffer is a little smaller. But the relationship is the key intuition: the lower your LTV, the more your collateral can fall before liquidation becomes a danger.
That is why choosing an LTV is really choosing how much volatility you can absorb. Borrow at the maximum and a single bad day can wipe out your margin; borrow well below it and you trade some liquidity for the ability to ride out a drawdown.
